3D truss exhibit modeling and rendering service by Midland Display

Midland Displays offers custom 3D truss exhibit modeling and rendering service for its trade show truss display customers. Using Vectorworks and Artlantis, Midland Displays offers 3D modeling and color rendering of their customers truss trade show displays. Customers simply submit their graphics files formated to fit the graphics panels they desire and Midland Display will create the 3D model in Vectorworks which represents the hardware portion of the customers' display and then apply the graphic images using Artlantis to the Vectorworks display structure.

This service is provided at no charge to customers who order their truss displays through Midland. It gives a client the opportunity to see their display ideas in a virtual environment prior to ever spending a dime on hardware or graphics.

The Goddard Space Flight Center has chosen Midland Displays' EZ-6 trade show truss display system to promote their pioneering mulit-disciplinary scientific mission addressing some of the most critical issues in earth science today. There will be 3 identical truss displays built by Midland Display incorporating graphic elements provided by NASA and laid out by Midland Displays' design staff. The ICE-Sat display will also utilize the simple LCD/Plasma screen mounts on all displays.

The ICE-Sat Mission measures the height distribution, density and thickness of clouds with great accuracy, an important factor for weather and climate. Also, the study of sea ice is very important due to the large impact it has on the ocean and climate. The ICE-Sat truss displays demonstrates these concepts using printed graphics as well as audio/video on the plasma/LCD platforms.

New N-Line trade show displays are now available at Midland Display. The new NLine trade show displays represent a new vision of portable trade show displays that utilize the dye sublimation process of fabric graphic printing. Constructed of anodized aircraft-grade aluminum, NLine's extrusion system frames the fabric graphics on all four sides, ensuring a clean and easy fit. NLine is easy to assemble: most configurations can be set up in 30-40 minutes with just one person using the provided torx wrench. NLine displays are available in curved and flat options, 10 ft or 20 ft long. Many accessories can be added to NLine including shelving units, counters, lighting and workstations.

Chad Leiffert, national sales manager, says that the single wing nut connection point and the simplicity of setup procedure of the EZ-6 truss is the leading reason why these trade show truss displays are moving so fast.

Customers are moving away from the cookie cutter popup and folding panels displays systems to truss for more versatility, flexibility and load bearing capabilities, Leiffert says. By utilizing their in house design capabilities particularly in the three dimensional modeling area, Midland's customers can get a good idea of exactly what their trade show effort will look like prior to anything being produced.

The 3" welded steel truss is made from 3/8" steel tube cords with 1/8" steel rod webbing. It's small triangular shape is ideal for small retail use as well as trade show displays accessories. The 10" flat, box or triangular welded steel truss system is made of 3/4" steel tube cords with 3/16" rod webbing. All turns, T-trusses, X-trusses and capitals have a 1'4" O.D. The 14" flat, box or triangular welded steel truss system is made of 1" steel tubes with 1/4" rod webbing. All parts are standard include internal connection, tabs or threaded inserts. The 18" box and triangular steel truss is made for 1 5/8" steel tube cords and 1/2" steel tube webbing.
